In this age where we can even go to the moon,
I don't want to say "impossible."

"That's really impossible," I said, the words escaping my lips.
There have been times when I felt like I had to go.
The day of a secret live performance by a universally known artist. A crowd of 1,000 people. Crowd management, merchandise sales, on-site operations. Handling everything else that comes up. At the time, the company only had about a dozen employees. Everyone, from accounting to administration, was pulled in (unthinkable now).

I was only in my second year or so at the time, and I was desperate. Running. Running. Running so hard I didn't even know where I was going. Sweat got in my eyes. I wiped it away roughly. My feet stopped. At that moment, the intro to the first song began to play. The audience's thunderous cheers echoed. Everyone was smiling. They were shouting. Oh, right. It's actually working.

18 years have passed since then.
Don't say it's impossible without even trying.
The words my senior spoke to me that summer, on that day, still haven't left my heart.

Is the advertising industry glamorous?
For me, I feel that the long process leading up to creating those spectacular moments is more characteristic of the advertising industry.
A special anniversary campaign for a drink I love. They'll create a new product and sell it nationwide. It sounds like a really exciting project.

Create an original flavor. And build the original vehicle to sell it. Design, size, equipment. Clear all legal requirements. Negotiate with health departments and stores that differ by region. And oversee every site. Summer is relentlessly approaching. It's a heavy summer.

Before I knew it, I had circled Japan many times, visiting stores all over the country.
From your second year, you'll be considered a mid-level employee.
I keep replaying the words my senior told me. The colorful product packaging stacked in the food truck is so vibrant, you can't even sense the hardship that went into it. But I guess that's what makes it good. Advertising.
That item, selling out one after another from the food truck, was the symbol of my overheated summer.

Compete on how to achieve it.
Until I joined the company, I was on the "customer side." The fun side, the exciting side, the innocent side. Now I'm on the "creator side." But I can still get passionate about it, just like the customers.

It's the day of the sports tournament that has all of Japan buzzing. We're creating a participatory event for spectators in front of the stadium. The atmosphere is building right before the match. This is the front line of excitement. Many photos of spectators' smiles were shared. It was even featured on TV. It might sound simple when you say it, but I realized that this company's strength lies in its ability to make those things happen.

Until I joined the company, I thought "ideas" were just interesting concepts. But my senior said, "Just being interesting doesn't make it a proposal." He meant don't come up with things you can't do. It's only an idea when you can propose how to make it happen. That strength is only forged through experience. Each time I dive into the whirlwind of the field, I can become part of the "creation side."

Tens of thousands of "likes"
It was like the earth rumbling.
"This event is the gateway for new employees," the senior said, smiling.
But from my perspective, it might have been an "out-of-nowhere final boss."

An event site that feels like it's sprung straight from a game world. The fervent energy of tens of thousands of fans rushing in. Our mission is to move their actions, their thoughts.
The transceiver instructions continue to fly back and forth.
If tens of thousands of people are stranded, it could lead to a serious accident. I just kept running.

Event nearing its end. A surprise game announcement was made. At that moment, a thunderous roar of cheers erupted in the venue. The palpable excitement was electrifying.
What jumped into my eyes when I turned around was the best smile from the fans.

It was fulfilling. It was incredibly hard. It was fun.
But I will absolutely never do it again.
The sudden appearance of the final boss felt like it hammered home the intensity of the situation.

In a world that constantly changes,
I want to do anything.
Joined the company in April 2020. I was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Events were canceled one after another. My seniors looked up at the ceiling. Nobody was to blame. It couldn't be helped. But I could feel firsthand that something extraordinary was happening.

Amidst this, the project that was born is the management of administrative service windows. Mistakes are absolutely unforgivable. And right now, it's something the world absolutely needs.
The words "thank you" carried weight. I witnessed people's anxiety and sadness. I decided to do anything I could. I faced it with all my might.

I realized that there are endless approaches when it comes to promotions and events. There are jobs that create emotional experiences, and jobs that build social infrastructure. I felt that what I create is up to me. If the world is constantly changing, then I want to keep creating new things as well.

Are you a senior or a comrade?
It might be an exaggeration to say it's a dream-making job, but that summer event was like a dream for the kids. Ice-cold drinks shot out from the bags. It was exciting and incredibly delicious. Our team's job was to create those moments.

Delivering drinks at a shopping mall. We keep going on business trips with seniors and bosses. It's just like a band's national tour. Each time we finish one location, I feel the vibe. I'm getting better at it. I'm starting to have more time on my hands.
I worked from morning till night. I didn't know what I was doing. But it was fun. It was all because my senior stayed with me until the end.

Even now, I remember what I was told in an interview. "Whether you do it or not is up to you. If you do it, do your best." I thought, "What is that?" Is there a company like that? A company that confronts you head-on like that, but doesn't leave you alone, an interesting company.
